Ian Dennis

Ian was my first assistant. He's incredibly talented. He found me back in 2005 or 2006, a senior at UNC Asheville, when he was doing a research project on indy/pop-art toy artists. We chatted some over the advancing months and eventually I asked him to come work with me when he was done with college. Ian graduated and spent some time learning the plush ropes. Together we were published in Pictoplasma's anthology of toy artists called DOT DOT DASH (Gestalten Books). With artist Jenny Harada, Ian and I contributed plush projects and instructions to the recent book INVASION OF THE PLUSH MONSTERS by Veronika Gunter (Lark Books). Ian now works on his own plush toy and soft sculpture lines. I wish him the best and I'm lucky to have worked with him.
